Jaroslav Kotas studied at UMPRUM and the Faculty of Education, focusing primarily on landscape painting. During his numerous study trips abroad (Tunisia, France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece), he created an extensive and colorful body of work featuring many depictions of foreign lands.
