This painter, draftsman, printmaker and illustrator left a lasting mark not only on Czech animated film, but also created unique book illustrations and theater puppets. His main artistic focus was illustration and stage design, the most well-known of which are the book illustrations of Jan Karafiát's “Broučci” (Fireflies), fairy tales by Erben and the Grimm brothers and more. He painted landscapes, figures and bouquets, and created children's toys.
