Matěj Olmer (*1979) is a legend on the graffiti scene, yet for several decades he has been devoted to abstract painting, which captivates viewers with its vivid use of complementary colors. The broad brushstrokes in his compositions radiate a powerful energy. His painterly gesture conceals an immense inner struggle with the world and with himself. His works have been presented in successful group exhibitions alongside his generational peers Pasta Oner, Jan Kaláb, Michal Škapa, Martin Krajec, and others, most recently at the Mánes Exhibition Hall in Prague and at the Nová síň. Olmer’s works achieve impressive prices on the international auction scene.
