Jaroslav Šusta (1927 - 2018) AUGUST 68

Jaroslav Šusta's recording "August 68" is a simple and striking account of the feelings that the occupation brought with it. To create the work, Šusta used a sheet metal that had been run over by an armored personnel carrier and demonstrated the form of destruction on it in an artistic shorthand. Stripped of his favorite colors and shapes, he left only the pure tone of an artifact that reflected a specific time period in history.
