Josef Bohuslav Foerster (1859 - 1951) IN A PARK

Josef Bohuslav Foerster gained fame as a composer, but he himself viewed the visual arts and literature as further aspects of the same whole—that is, as means of human expression. He was friends with Pirner and Chittussi, and like Foerster’s music, his visual works were lyrical and intimate; they are rarely found on the market.
