Vladimír Jarcovják (1924 - 2007) PETROLEUM LAMP

Vladimír Jarcovják was a member of the Trasa 54 art group, founded by students of Emil Filla’s monumental painting studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. The 1960s saw the artist’s work reflect a keen interest in abstraction, which he interwove with objects. Color remained the focal point of his work throughout all periods. He worked as a painter, graphic artist, and restorer. He created paintings, as well as large-scale and monumental works both domestically and abroad, and also produced graphic works.
