Gaetano Sciolari (1927 - 1994) TWO DESIGN CHANDELIERS

The space age, which began with the launch of the first artificial satellite, Sputnik 1, also gave rise to a new aesthetic that often drew on futuristic visions in both design and material selection. Among the designers associated with this aesthetic movement was the Italian Gaetano Sciolari, who owned and personally designed luxury lighting fixtures. Sciolari was among the most sought-after Italian lighting retailers in the United States. Sciolari worked for prominent designers such as Stilnovo, Boulanger, and Stilkronen. The two chandeliers on offer feature a chrome-plated structure forming a hexagon of two intertwined equilateral triangles. Excellent condition, newly rewired.
