PERSIAN TABRIZ CARPET

A hand-knotted carpet with a wool pile on a cotton foundation. The red field is richly decorated with floral motifs, birds and a prominent multicoloured central medallion. The field is framed by several ornamental borders; the main dark blue border is decorated with a garden motif featuring birds, animals and cypress trees.
