František Hudeček (1909 - 1990) WALKER

František Hudeček was a Czech painter, graphic artist, and illustrator. Among his kindred spirits were František Gross and Ladislav Zívr. As a sensitive artist, he viewed the world with a certain degree of melancholy and, especially during the war, created somber works that reflected on the human condition. He explored the iconic motif of a pedestrian—wandering from nowhere to nowhere, exposed to alienation and loneliness, and existing only within the clearly defined boundaries of the city—in many variations.
