Rudolf Scheidhauer PORTRAIT OF A GIRL WITH A ROSE

Rudolf Scheidhauer is one of those painters about whose life little is known. The few portraits that have survived attest to his outstanding talent for observation and his extensive experience as a painter. The facial expressions are vivid, and the details are exceptionally accurate. The Prešov Regional Gallery has in its collection a male and a female portrait by the same artist, both of which are comparable in quality to the work presented here.
