Massive plated iron safe for storing valuables with a functional lock. The lock mechanism is protected from the inside by a wrought plate with floral decoration. The word "armada" is sometimes used in the name for the chest, but this name began to be in use much later - in the 19th century and referred to Victorian ideas of officers of the Spanish army. This accessory was very popular at the time, it probably came from Nuremberg or Augsberg, and today it is a collector's rarity, which has been auctioned several times in Christie's renowned auction house.
