František Líbal studied at the Prague Academy with Vlaho Bukovac and Max Pirner. After graduating, he traveled a lot and created a set of depictions of cathedrals, which is highly valued for its integrity. He devoted himself to landscape painting and painted mainly Prague and remote places with an exceptional atmosphere.
