Karel Ort (1881 - 1936) FUNCTIONALIST SIDE TABLE FB 54

This functionalist side table, featuring a shelf supported by four bent chrome-plated steel tubes, was designed by Czech architect and designer Karel E. Ort, who worked in Jan Kotěra’s studio between 1910 and 1920 and collaborated primarily with the Hynek Gottwald firm in Bryndýs nad Orlicí as a designer. Among his most significant works is the glazing project for the Metro Palace on Národní třída. Excellent condition.
