A male portrait from a representative of the Austrian Empire portrait. It represents a realistic way of capturing a model without ostentation and pathos. The artist captured the forms of important personalities, but also landscapes and genre paintings. The face of the person portrayed is characterized by concise and vivid individual characteristics and delicate colors, it is modeled by delicate pink valeries with an accurate depiction of all details. The half-figure of a man reveals in small details the character of the person portrayed. Thanks to the precisely executed gold-crumpled collar, we can estimate that he is a high-ranking, prominent state official of the financial administration, judging by the green inserts. Dating from 1849 is revealed by "rosettes", which were introduced for senior officials. The three rosettes in connection with the golden color of the edging and, moreover, with its width, point to a financial administration official at least in the 8th grade - an inspector or a high commissioner. A portrait of this financier originally hung in Prague Castle.
