SILVER PLATE WITH A ROTHSCHILD COAT OF ARMS

An elegant plate from the silver service of the Rothschild family made in the famous Odiot silversmith's workshop, founded in 1690. The workshop also supplied luxury items to Napoleon Bonaparte. The plate is decorated with an edge with a raised "volute" decor, lip with engraved coat of arms of the barons Rothschilds, diameter 28.5 cm, weight 577 g, master stamp "ODIOT A PARIS", stamp for export in Paris 1840-1879.
