Drawings of a deep forest with a bridge over the river with human staffage and trees on a hill overlooking the landscape and human staffage. Johann Heinrich Meyer was a Swiss painter, engraver and art critic. He served as the second director of the Weimar Princely Free School of Drawing. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's close collaborator was often referred to as the "Goethemeyer".
