Josef Jíra (1929 - 2005) SOPOTY

Jíra created a large number of works on the Baltic coast; he would travel from there onward to other parts of the world, and each time he would sketch something that caught his eye in his sketchbook. A large number of works from the 1960s were created on the seashore, where Jíra captured the clouds, the undulating sea, colorful boats, houses on the beach, and the overall impression of the Baltic Sea coast, which is subject to a cooler climate and undulates in the ever-present wind.
