Zdeněk Sklenář (1910 - 1986) UNTITLED (ALBUM 76)

Zdeněk Sklenář is best known as an illustrator and graphic artist—thanks to his work on Ancient Greek Myths and Legends, Songs of Ancient China, and many other books. He transformed his inspiration from Chinese art into something unique and organic, masterfully handling color. He was significantly influenced by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. He influenced an entire generation of graphic artists whom he mentored.
