CROWNED VIRGIN MARY

Carved figure of the crowned Virgin Mary, depicted with hands clasped in prayer, which were added at a later date. The figure is dressed in a long, flowing gown and mantle, with a crown on her head. The sculpture was probably originally part of a larger figural scene depicting the Coronation of the Virgin. Remnants of the original polychromy are preserved.
