Ota Janeček was a prominent Czech painter, printmaker, and illustrator. He was a member of the Mánes Association of Fine Artists and the Hollar Association of Czech Artists and Printmakers. He drew inspiration from nature for his early, poetically conceived series (Birds, Trees, Butterflies, Grasses).
