The masterful style of expression, combining principles of painting and drawing enhanced by color execution, characterizes Marek Číhal's painting of a mole. In terms of size, the painting is an exception. The energy concealed in his paintings are more suited to large canvases or his architectural projects with the architecture studio Acht. This very distinctive painter studied at the Faculty of Art's intermedia studio under Václav Stratil, with whom he established the Moon Art group in 2012. He later attended the Academy of Fine Arts and studied under Vladimír Skrepl. In 2010 he won the Critic's Award for Young Painting, which he confirmed the following year with two paintings for his Lemons and Trees series. The following year he received the Jan Světlík Art Prize – Artistic Hope, in which his paintings were compared alongside works by Krištof Kintera and Adam Vačkář in the final. His works are slowly conquering the entire world. He has been shown in Germany, Italy, France, Hungary, Austria and the United Kingdom, and his works are held in private collections.
