The actual portrait of the engraver Wenceslaus Hollar with attributes and standing by the open window with a view of St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George's Monastery is one of Hollar's most famous prints. The etching was based on a model by Joanness Meyssens, who in 1649 published the work "Images de Divers Hommes" in Antwerp, in which he introduced many personalities, including Václav Hollar. Hollar holds in his hands a copper plaque depicting St. Catherine of Raphael, whose painting was in the collections of Count Arundel. At the top of the etching is the coat of arms with the emblems of the Hollars of Prácheň and the Löws of Löwengrün.
