Adriena Šimotová (1926 - 2014) A HANGER

Her artistic work is closely linked to her life destiny. While in the beginning she devoted herself largely to landscape painting, later she switched to figural themes and after the death of her husband and son she focused on working with paper and textiles, collages and installations. Although in the last years of her life Adriena Šimotová were limited by the physical possibilities of her body, she did not stop creating, new works depicting objects and the human body were still being created - the finer and inner the harder it was for the author to move. The presented still life "Hanger" belongs to the creative circle of phenomenological research of things and their place in our lives.
