Josef Lada (1887 - 1957) OLD WOMAN WITH APPLES

The drawings from the village environment by Josef Lada, a well-known illustrator, are an example of his unmistakable handwriting. The scenes that intersect his entire work are based on events in his native Hrusice. The icon of Czech painting and illustration with a typical handwriting of a strong line and rounded shapes of figures today belongs to the folk celebration of folklore holidays and in the form of calendars, greeting cards and postcards with reproductions of the author's works, we commemorate his work every year.
