Deforma - 07 belongs to a new cycle of Kovářík 's projects, in which it focuses on the destruction and collapse of the aesthetic form. Deformations are often made up of recyclates from otherwise unusable waste, which serves as the core of the thing itself. Sometimes he is confessed, other times suspected and sometimes, as in this case painted. Jan Kovářík, one of the authors of the younger middle generation, drew attention to himself in the competition of the Prague 6 district by designing a statue of Maria Theresa, which he then realized near Prague Castle. Last year, he attracted attention with an exhibition in Troja Castle called Colorbond. In his work, he uses unique techniques, which he himself improves and develops, from materials mainly all kinds of modern acrylates, resins and geopolymer mixtures. After that, the surface of the sculptures often covers a completely classical method of polychromy, thus completing the sculptures with the superstructure of another vibrating plan. The author studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in at. prof. Jindřich Zeithamml and two semesters in Intermedia at. prof. Milan Knížák. He has been exhibiting independently since 2002. His works are represented in the NG collections in Prague, in the GASK permanent exhibition, in the East Bohemian Gallery in Pardubice and in many private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad.
