Stepan Fedorovič Kolesnikov (1879 - 1955) CAUCASSUS

Stepan Kolesnikov was born into a simple family and his talent was revealed very soon. In 1903, Kolesnikov was admitted to the Imperial Academy of Arts, where his paintings regularly won awards at the annual spring exhibitions. He also befriended Ilya Répin, who greatly appreciated Kolesnikov's work in their personal correspondence.
