HAMMERED TIBETAN EWER

Ewer made of hammered sheet copper with rich repoussé and chased decoration, complemented by nickel silver mounts. The body is decorated with a dragon motif and a kīrtimukha-type mask (Tib. tsi pa), while the handle and spout terminate in motifs of fantastic creatures. The interior surface shows areas of blue-green copper corrosion products. The spout is mark BEST GERMAN SILVER.
