Unfortunately, the canvases of this exceptional author began to find their legitimate recognition only after his death, after the release of the political situation. In his works, he sets himself apart from artistic manners, the harmonization of opposites and the aestheticization of artistic means. We find in them the influences of cubism, constructivism and Malevich's suprematism, combined with intellectual correction and rationalization of artistic expression. The architectural perception of space, which is also evidenced by this painting, is permanently present in the works as an expression of the duality of its inner world. Čestmír Kafka's work is represented in many public and private collections at home and abroad, such as the Center Georges Pompidou, Paris, the Gallery of the Capital City of Prague, NG Prague, the Jacques Baruch Gallery in Chicago and the Weber Gallery in Turin.
