A ZITTAU PLATE

Plate in typical colours of rich glaze with floral decoration in Zittau green with manganese-purple/brown contours. Dated 1703 in the centre. In the 17th century, Habanese settlers arrived in the Zittau area and brought with them a tradition of famous ceramic art. Excellent preserved condition.
