The sculpture depicting the Old Testament motif of Adam and Eve at the moment of the serpent's temptation is a characteristic work from the studio of one of the most important Czech sculptors, Olbram Zoubek, dating from the early 1990s. In his artistic expression, this acclaimed and sought-after sculptor arrived at a characteristic expression based on a very expressive, almost haptic work with matter and a subtle, stretched sound of individual figures that dominate his repertoire. His favourite element was also the combination of metallic grey with the contrasting radiance of gold leaf, as can be seen in the trio of sculptures. On the reverse of the base of each sculpture is the serial number 77, which has been stamped by the artist. The offered sculpture is owned by a prominent Czech collector directly from the sculptor.
