The clock case is carried on the wings of two griffins symmetrically placed opposite each other, set on a rectangular base with concave corners. The figure mounted to the top of the case - perhaps an allegory of transience - holds a large white pearl (diameter ca. 1 cm) in her raised arm. Fire-gilded bronze clock case, enamel dial with Arabic numbers, steel hands. Center circle is guilloché brass, marked Wurm Wien. Back case comprises a floral motif lattice. Chime on the quarter hour.
