It is exceptional when the work of Jiří Kolář appears on the art scene. He transformed from a poet into a visual artist, giving words three-dimensional form and turning everyday objects into poetry. Apples appear in Kolář's work more often, probably as an artifact that symbolizes the beginning and end, a sort of bipolarity. The object has been made using Jiří Kolář's own technique of chiasmage.
